NANO BROWS

Nano Brows, also known as Micropigmentation, has been booming in popularity within the permanent makeup industry as new and advanced products hit the market. This gentle, semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo is created using a machine with a single point needle that deposits ink into the skin. The nano needle allows for the ultimate freedom in creativity, producing hyper-realistic results. Nano Brows should not be confused with Microblading, which is a different form of cosmetic tattooing using a manual blade instead of a needle.

Using a nano needle vs a blade means that the ink will be pushed into the skin, not sliced, keeping the skin intact. No skin breaks means faster healing, better pigment retention, and no scarring or skin trauma!

NANO BROWS Q&A

How long does it last?

Cosmetic tattooing is permanent and will not wash off. However, the pigments used are designed to fade over time, so touch ups will be needed every 1-2 years to maintain your tattoo.

Will it hurt?

There is minimal pain and discomfort during the tattooing process, however, pain tolerance varies for each individual. Most of my clients are able to sleep through the procedure! Also, a topical numbing agent is applied in the middle of the procedure to minimize any discomfort. Please notify your artist if you have a known allergy to alcohol or other numbing agents. Keep in mind that if you schedule your appointment on or around your menstrual cycle, sensitivity can increase.

Is cosmetic tattooing right for me?

Nano brows work best on clients who have a normal to dry skin type, but it is suitable for almost all skin types. The more eyebrow hair you have, the more natural your results will look. Clients who have little to no hair will have results that will appear more two-dimensional. However, Tara Lynn specializes in layering pigments, creating dimension, and aiming for the most realistic results.

You CANNOT receive cosmetic tattooing if you are:
  • Currently using Accutane or have used Accutane within the past year
  • Currently using blood thinning medications
  • Currently on antibiotics
  • Currently on chemotherapy agents
  • Have a freshly tanned or sunburned face
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Affected by AIDS, HIV, or Hepatitis
  • History of keloid scarring on facial/ear piercings
  • Under the age of 18
  • Previous microblading or tattooed eyebrows.

***You MUST consult with me before booking. Old pigment will be analyzed by the artist for consideration

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Cease using any skin/blood thinners (Vitamin A, glycolic acids, exfoliation) on the brow area 2 weeks prior to your appointment. If you are on any medications, please notify me before we schedule your appointment. Some medications, such as thyroid medications, can alter healed results.

  • You must wait 30 days after cosmetic botox or fillers before getting your cosmetic tattoo.
  • DO NOT consume alcohol or take any blood thinners (aspirin, ibuprofen, Niacin, etc.) 48 hours before your procedure, this may cause excess bleeding and may affect your results. Do not consume caffeine 24 hours before.
  • Do not pluck, tweeze, or wax your eyebrows for one week leading to your appointment.
  • You may come in with how you normally draw in your brows/bring samples of brow shapes you like to the appointment.
  • We will not be able to tattoo over any blemishes, sores, and moles in or around the brow area.
How do I care for my new cosmetic tattoo?
  • You will be provided with Cavilon ointment to apply twice a day for 7-10 days.
  • Avoid hot steamy showers, swimming, lakes, and hot tubs for 10 days.
  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning for 4 weeks.
  • NO facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.
  • NO sweating (yoga, gym, sports, exertion) for 10 days. The salt and oils in your sweat will blur and fade the pigment.
  • NO retinols/anti-aging creams on the brow or forehead area for 4 weeks.
  • NO rubbing, picking, or scratching the treated area. Let any scabs or flaking skin naturally exfoliate off. Failure to refrain from this can cause scarring and loss of color.
  • It will take 7-14 days for the skin to heal. However, the entire healing process including pigment oxidation and metabolization will take 30+ days, depending on your body. Your brows will continue to change throughout the process.

JET PLASMA BENEFITS

ACNE

  • Effective at treating & preventing acne
  • Kills P.acnes bacteria
  • Sterilizes the skin
  • Anti-inflammatory effect
  • Reduces sebum (oil) production by 25%

Skin Regeneration and Tightening

The JET Plasma is clinically proven to have a 14.8% increase in skin density after a single treatment! It increases collagen production and improves laxity. Although immediate improvement is seen after treatment, the skin will continue to improve over the next 6-8 weeks.

Anti-pigmentation and Lightning

JET Plasma suppresses melanin production, making it effective on unwanted surface pigmentation as well as hyper-pigmentation caused by melasma. Furthermore, any lightening products used on the skin after treatment will be more effective due to the increased absorption rate.

Absorption

JET Plasma increases the skin absorption rate by temporarily shrinking the skin cells, allowing active ingredients to penetrate into the deeper layers of the skin (dermis and subcutaneous) without the use of injections. Therefore, any products applied to the skin 24hrs after treatment will be more effective.
